Illustrator CS AND 10.0 suddenly will not startup

This seems like a simple problem I'd find plenty of posts on but I haven't found anything in FAQ, Forums, anything.

I simply came in one morning and neither Illustrator CS OR Illustrator 10 will startup. They blink for a sec - and nothing. I've zapped pram - reinstalled both - still the same problem.

I called Adobe AI tech support but they want $299 for an account before I get started and my boss is out of town today. I'm not putting it on my own card :)

This is on a Mac G4 running 10.2.8 - both apps are legit and are using proper serial numbers.

I need Illustrator to get jobs out - HELP!

I might add that these two programs had previously been running fine for a couple months.

This literally came out of the blue for me.
I can't think of anything I'd been doing differently recently.

Did you try trashing AI preferences and repairing permissions on your hard drive?
