What are these files and why do I have so many on my HD?
Sometimes the title changes on my page to that name as well. Not sure then if my original file is being saved or this .tmp file.
I am using Mac OS 10.4.1 and the latest updated version of Illustrator CS.

There's already a thread on this subject so you don't need to start a new one. Appears to be a Tiger/Illustrator bug:
